History
Pereq evolved out of Cryspen, founded in December 2021 by Karthik Bhargavan, Franziskus Kiefer, and Jonathan Protzenko to take formal verification tools developed at research labs like Inria and apply them to commercial software.
In June 2026, Cryspen spun off its cryptographic engineering division as CE Labs. In October 2026, we rebranded as pereq to focus on building specification and verification products for real-world software in the AI era.
